We’re looking for Youth Workers, with excellent youth work and communication skills to engage young people during detached and streets-based settings that include working on the Metro Link. We would like you to have experience in working in a detached setting and understand the differences between centre and detached based youth work. Communication and relationship building skills are key to this role and will rely heavily on working with third parties to identify key hotspots where young people congregate and may be at risk of harm or causing concern to the wider community in North Manchester.
Key Duties will include:
Experience delivering in a detached setting is essential, youth work qualifications are desirable.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.24 per hour
Expected hours: 7 per week

We are recruiting a Bid Writer who will play a pivotal role in MYZ’s Fundraising team, developing our fundraising capabilities and growing this income stream. The role’s primary purpose is to generate income predominantly through trusts and grants. MYZ’s restricted income makes up 70% of the overall income stream, and enables us to deliver core youth work activities as well as targeted programmes such as employability, health improvement and social prescribing, detached youth work and more, with over 50 funded contracts per year.
Key Duties

Job Types: Full Time (part time applications will be considered), Permanent
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 (dependant on experience)
Expected hours: 40 per week (we will consider lower hours)
Work Location: Hybrid (80% remote 20% onsite)

In addition to the above statutory duties, each trustee should use any specific skills, knowledge or experience they have to help the board of trustees reach sound decisions. This may involve leading discussions, focusing on key issues, scrutinising board papers, providing advice and guidance on new initiatives, evaluation or other issues in which the trustee has special expertise.
