SEFE Energy’s partnership with Manchester Youth Zone (MYZ) is rooted in a shared commitment to empowering and strengthening local communities. The partnership officially began in 2023, following an employee vote across the SEFE Energy Manchester office.

Our Manchester office is the UK headquarters for the non-domestic energy supplier supporting 30,000 customers across Great Britain, and 50,000 across Europe. A part of the SEFE group, we work as strategic partners, offering demand-orientated solutions to help our customers achieve their energy goals – from navigating the complexities of today's dynamic energy market to taking their next steps toward decarbonisation.

Every year, we collectively choose a number of charities to support through a variety of different activities. We believe that even small acts of support make a big difference, whether it is volunteering our time, donating to a cause we care about or just supporting what those organisations are doing. Our continued support of MYZ highlights how much our employees care for the charity, and as such has allowed us to form a powerful relationship with the team there over the years.

This partnership is important because it reflects our values in action. By volunteering time, raising funds, and participating in events like the Great Manchester 10k and the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, SEFE Energy employees are actively contributing to MYZ’s mission. The funds raised—over £20,000 and counting—are helping to provide daily hot meals, maintain vital facilities, and support the upcoming refurbishment of the centre.

But just as crucial is the message this sends: that we are invested in the wellbeing of the community surrounding us, and that every employee has the power to make a difference. Through this partnership, SEFE Energy is helping MYZ create a space where young people can thrive, dream, and succeed—and that’s a legacy worth building. Over the coming months, we look forward to continuing our partnership with this inspiring charity.
