I work on the senior sessions at Manchester Youth Zone, and one of the things I love most about my role is that no two nights are ever the same. I really enjoy learning from young people, hearing their perspectives and being part of such a supportive, passionate team.Before joining MYZ, I spent 13 years working for a youth charity in the North East, and I’ve always had a deep love for the charitable sector and the positive impact it has within communities. Seeing what these organisations can offer young people is something I’ll never take for granted.I’m also a qualified yoga teacher and mindfulness instructor, which I hope helps me bring a sense of calm and balance to busy sessions. I love noticing the small changes in young people and feel truly honoured to play even a small part in helping them flourish. Creating a safe space where young people can unmask during what can be an overwhelming adolescence is incredibly important to me.My advice is to stay in your own lane and always be kind to yourself. Outside of work, I love walking my little dog Alfred and spending time outdoors.
