Outdoor Adventure Youth Worker

About the role
Our outdoor adventure volunteers will help us to deliver outdoor based trips and sessions to our young people and families. They encourage young people and their families to stretch their comfort zones through trying new activities, explore new surroundings safely, and build skills and confidence in the outdoors. You must be at least 18 and willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Please note that volunteers will need to be at least 18 years of age and be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
What you can expect to be doing
- Helping staff to run outdoor trips by chaperoning/supporting our young people and their families. Trips
- Helping our staff and young people plan and organize the trips, to include route planning, promotion of
- Support our staff to make the trips as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible
- Support our Social Action Youth Worker with any opportunities for young people, that could include
- Building positive relationships with young people across the youth zone
- Working collaboratively with staff to provide the best possible experience for young people
- Supporting young people with additional needs
- Acting as a positive role model for young people
- Promoting an inclusive culture where all young people are listened to, valued, and cared for
