Eggucating Manchester

It only takes a couple of chickens to send the whole Youth Zone a bit giddy – this week we were pleased for Eggucation to visit the Juniors with a couple of hens. Eggucation work to provide an engaging experience for schools to learn about how to care for eggs and the chicks that eventually hatch from them.

Eggucation left us 7 eggs to look after in an incubator – these eggs will take 3 weeks to hatch and must be kept at around 37.5° celsius as they don’t have their mother hen to keep them warm.

Check out the photos below to see the Juniors with the hens, and I’ll keep you posted when the chicks hatch! Can’t wait!
