The Trophy Passes Hands in Annual Reds v. Blues Charity Football Match

It was tense, it was exciting, and it was an evening where dreams came true… particularly for team Reds.

After a 3:2 defeat, the Blues were forced to hand over last year’s trophy with its new red accessories.

From all of us here at The Factory Youth Zone, we would like to say thanks to all of you who braved the cold conditions (and the traffic!) to join us at Altrincham football club, for a tense match, exciting auction, raffle and pie & chips!

Special thanks also go to MoneyPlus and OBI Property for making this event possible. They worked brilliantly to put this event on and it wouldn’t have happened without them. The dedication from Chris Davis (MoneyPlus) and Will Lewis (OBI Property) has been amazing.

Thanks also go to Gary Tipper of Palatine Private Equity and the sponsors of the match DWF, Russells Construction and Car Finance 24-7 without which, the event would not have been as successful. We also extend our thanks to Dennis Teuart, Phil Neville and Ricardo Fuller who all gave up their time to get involved.

A massive well done to two young people from The Factory Youth Zone, who both did amazingly; George Hall as mascot for the Blues, and Ria Stott as mascot for the Reds.

‘Moment of the Match’ was awarded to Steve Oliver (CEO of Music Magpie) for his outstanding save keeping the Blues in the game whilst Andrew Dawson was selected as  ‘Man of the Match’ by no other than Phil Neville.

Whilst Friday was about the players living their dreams, the money raised will help our young people achieve theirs.

Thank you to all that were involved, what a brilliant event.
